Do I get paid? Yes. You receive a training allowance exempt from tax and national insurance. For the current rate, please visit www.step.org.uk
Where will my STEP placement be? Your placement will be in the area covered by the STEP agency to which you apply. Being flexible will help.
Can I apply to more than one STEP agency? No. You can only apply to one STEP agency which will then handle your application.
What projects would I get? That depends on the host company, the project they need completing and your suitability for the project.
How do I apply? Please visit www.step.org.uk or contact your local agency who will guide you through the process.
I have a 2 week holiday booked. Can I still participate? Possibly. Some agencies are flexible in such circumstances.
Can the 8 weeks be extended? Yes. Subject to agreement STEP can be extended up to a maximum project duration of 13 weeks in total.
